2. Our jewellery
Our antique collection contains genuine antique or vintage stones. We aim to preserve original settings; a traditional replacement setting may be used where the original is beyond repair. Our separate modern collection comprises preloved jewellery.
Each listing should describe known age, condition, metal, dimensions, alterations and available documentation. Antique and preloved pieces may show age-related wear; this does not remove your rights if an item is faulty or misdescribed. Photographs may be enlarged and screen colours may vary; they do not override the written description.
Estimated weights of gemstones have been calculated without un-setting the stones. Estimates are identified as such and are not independent laboratory certification. Please request clarification before ordering where a characteristic is important to you.
3. Orders, prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling, including applicable taxes. Any delivery costs and other agreed charges will be disclosed before you commit to pay. Payment methods and timing will be confirmed before an order is accepted.
Your order is an offer to buy. An automated receipt acknowledges it; a contract forms when we expressly confirm acceptance in writing. Availability must be confirmed, as many pieces are unique. If we cannot accept an order, we will explain and promptly repay any money taken. An obvious price or description error will be referred to you for agreement or cancellation, rather than changed without your consent.
We will supply your order details and applicable terms in an email or another format you can retain. Later website amendments do not retrospectively change an accepted order.
4. Delivery
Destinations, charges, insurance arrangements and expected delivery times: [TO BE CONFIRMED BEFORE SALES BEGIN]. Delivery will be made within 3 working days of order acceptance. Tell us if arrival by a particular date is essential before ordering. If delivery is late, your legal rights to set a further deadline or end the contract apply.
We remain responsible for delivery until you, or someone you nominate, takes physical possession, except where you independently arrange a carrier we did not offer. Contact us about loss or damage. International orders require separately confirmed shipping, taxes and import arrangements; applicable mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.
5. Cancelling a standard distance purchase
For an eligible online or telephone purchase, you may cancel without giving a reason from ordering until 14 days after the day you receive the item. Where one order arrives in separate deliveries, the period runs from receipt of the last item.
Notify us using the email or postal details in section 1, or any other clear cancellation statement. Our optional form below may help, but it is not compulsory. An authorisation number is not a condition of cancellation. Send the item back within 14 days after telling us.
6. Returns and refunds
For a change-of-mind return, you pay the direct return postage cost. Pack the jewellery securely; a tracked service with appropriate cover is recommended. Include all supplied certificates and accessories. Original packaging is helpful but is not a condition of your statutory rights.
You may inspect jewellery as you reasonably would in a shop. Where permitted by law, we may deduct an evidenced reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. We do not charge a cancellation or restocking fee.
We refund payments, including the least expensive standard outward delivery charge we offered, within 14 days of receiving the goods back or evidence of their return, whichever is earlier. Extra express-delivery costs are not refundable. Refunds use the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, without a refund fee. If goods have not been dispatched, refunds are made within 14 days of cancellation.
7. Bespoke goods, personalisation and repairs
The change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, where the legal exception applies. We will explain any applicable exception before you order; describing something as bespoke does not itself remove your rights. Faulty or misdescribed goods remain protected.
All repairs and bespoke pieces are undertaken by local Master Goldsmiths. The scope, price, timescale and any deposit arrangements will be agreed in writing before work starts.
A separate repair-service contract normally has a 14-day cancellation period from its formation. We begin during that period only at your express request. If you then cancel, a proportionate charge for work supplied may apply where the legal information and consent requirements have been met. The right ends on full performance only with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that it will then be lost.
8. Faulty goods and service concerns
Goods must meet applicable legal standards, including description, satisfactory quality and agreed purpose, with their age and disclosed condition taken into account. Contact us promptly if something is wrong. Legal remedies may include a refund, repair, replacement or price reduction. A short-term right to reject faulty goods generally lasts 30 days; rights can continue after that period. We meet reasonable necessary return costs for valid faulty-goods claims.
Repair services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. These terms do not limit your statutory remedies or impose our change-of-mind deadlines on faulty-goods claims.
9. Care and responsibility
Follow any care instructions supplied. Delicate settings should be protected from impact, chemicals and unsuitable cleaning. We do not exclude responsibility for faults present on supply by referring to normal wear or later damage. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.
10. Complaints and disputes
Send complaints to the contact details in section 1, with your order reference and the outcome you seek. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable time. Details of any applicable dispute-resolution body and whether we are required or willing to use it will be provided where legally required.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain mandatory protections and any right to bring proceedings in the courts where they live.
11. Cancellation notice
Submit your cancellation notice using the form below. You may also cancel by email, post or another clear statement; this form is not compulsory.
